Effective August 3, 2026. These policies apply to our website, member app, booking tools, in-studio services, SMS, email, online classes, and livestreams. We may update policies by posting a revised version on this page.

1. Who we are

Hot Yoga and Wellness Center (“Studio,” “we,” “us”) operates the website, member portal, booking system, kiosk, online library, livestream tools, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information.

2. Information we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), phone number (optional), profile details, notification preferences.
Booking & membership data: reservations, waitlists, attendance/check-ins, memberships, class packs, purchases, referral codes, waiver and policy acceptances (including signature data when you sign).
Payment data: processed by payment providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we may store limited metadata (last4, brand, billing status, customer IDs).
Communications data: email and SMS delivery logs, marketing opt-in/opt-out status, support messages you send us.
Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, approximate location from IP, pages viewed, and diagnostic logs needed to secure and operate the Service.
Online practice data: content views, favorites, playback history, and livestream join metadata for entitled online classes.
Live class media: if an instructor hosts a livestream and saves the session, video (and audio if the host enables the microphone) may be stored in the online library for entitled members.

3. How we use information

Provide booking, memberships, check-in, online content, livestreams, and customer support.
Send transactional emails and SMS (confirmations, reminders, waitlist notices, security/sign-in links, receipts, service notices).
Send marketing emails/SMS only with your consent.
Improve safety, prevent fraud/abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Analyze aggregated usage to improve classes and the product.
Publish recorded classes to the online library when the host saves a session.

4. Text messaging (SMS/MMS)

If you provide a mobile number and keep transactional SMS enabled (default when a number is on file, subject to your notification settings), we may send service texts such as booking confirmations and class reminders. Marketing texts require separate opt-in.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS; reply HELP for help. See our SMS & Messaging Policy for full program details.

We use service providers (for example, Twilio for SMS and SendGrid or similar for email) to deliver messages. Those providers process your contact details only to send communications on our behalf under contract.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with:

Service providers under contract (hosting, database, email, SMS, payments, storage, analytics, error logging).
Staff and instructors as needed to run classes and the front desk (e.g., roster names, check-in status).
Other members only as necessary for class operations (for example, first names on a class roster visible to authorized staff).
Legal/safety when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transfers if we merge or sell assets, subject to continued protection of your information.

6. Cookies and similar tech

We use essential cookies and similar storage for login sessions, security, and basic preferences. We may use limited analytics to understand site usage. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling essential cookies may break sign-in.

7. Retention

We retain account and booking records as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, dispute, safety, and operational purposes. Recorded class videos may be retained while useful for the online library or until removed by the studio. You may request export or deletion subject to legal holds (see Privacy tools in your account when available, or email us).

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, staff role permissions). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Minors participating in classes should do so with appropriate guardian involvement and any required waivers.

10. Your choices

Update profile, phone, and notification preferences in your account.
Unsubscribe from marketing email via the link in each message or /unsubscribe.
Opt out of SMS with STOP; re-subscribe only by opting in again through the site or staff process.
Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing mollie@hotyogadayton.com or using in-account privacy tools when available.

11. Regional rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under state or international privacy laws (for example, rights to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing). Contact us to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined in U.S. state privacy laws.

12. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries with appropriate safeguards.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be highlighted when required by law.
